Each student is given a special Special Ticket (Pass), which is valid for the whole year (September 1 – August 31).
From the 2011-2012 academic year, the method of distribution and the criteria for determining the beneficiaries of the Special Ticket (pass) are defined by the Electronic Service for Obtaining a Special Ticket of the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs.
In case of loss of the D.E.E. you should contact the Department’s Secretariat, presenting the relevant statement of loss/theft from the police and requesting the reissuance of the card. Following the approval of the reissue by the Secretariat, the process of obtaining a PASSO is repeated from the beginning.
The discount provided to students is (Executive Act 99/22-08-90):
- in the urban transport of the city where the Department is based, as well as in the urban transport of the rest of the country 25%.
- in long-distance road transports that connect the headquarters of the Department with the place of permanent residence, as well as in long-distance transports of the country 25%.
- for group (minimum 15 people) domestic travel with Olympic Airlines 25% of the excursion fare.
- in the railway services of the whole country 50%.
The D.E.E. is submitted to the Department Secretariat with the student’s oath.
