Identify the symptoms and know the damages they cause and their economic impact to affected crop plants. 2. Learn the life cycles, biology and ecology of plant pathogens, and also conditions conductive for their population increase resulting in serious infestations to crops. 4. Know the strategies (chemical, biological, integrated) implemented for their effective management. |
General Competences |
• Acquire significant theoretical and technical background concerning the field of diseases (fungal, bacterial viral) infecting field crop plants in the Science of Agriculture. • Creatively utilize scientific knowledge and modern technology for effective protection of field crop plants against important plant pathogens (fungal, bacterial viral). • Develop necessary background knowledge to be able to attend postgraduate studies. • Be acquainted with the proper application of the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during their under graduate studies. |
