The course aims to provide students with specialized knowledge about principles of seed production so that to fulfil quality requirements as reproductive material
On successful completion of this module the students will be able to:
1) Understand the main principles of seed production.
2) Understand the importance of seed quality
3) Know the procedure of seed quality tests
4) Know the importance of propagating material quality
5) Know the production and certification process of propagating material
6) Know the process and control organization of propagating material production

General Competences

-They have the theoretical and practical background concerning the knowledge field of the science of Agriculture and the process of plant production - they have the ability to creatively utilize scientific knowledge and modern technology for the development and care of all kinds of plant crops as well as the production and marketing of plant reproductive material - they have acquired the necessary knowledge to be able to access post-graduate studies - they are able to properly apply their theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during their studies
