Learning Outcomes

Description of Course:
The course attempt to provide the proper knowledge to the students in order to made them capable to apprehend the innovation:
• as a change of productive process,
• as an evolution of management operations
• and as an invention of ameliorated and absolutely new products.

The course aim to underpin the entrepreneurial trend of students, scrutinizing the entrepreneurship:
• as personal necessity
• as function of firms
• and as cognitive process
especially in the agricultural sector.

The experiential and the heuristic cognitive process constitute the core for the conveyance of principles as for the solution of entrepreneurial problems and the comprehension of innovational characteristics. The students are taught how the technological progress and the managerial options can ameliorate the competitiveness for the ventures and the markets developing comparative advantages that can offer robustness to the firms and prosperity to the society.

According to the aforementioned, the aims of course as for the capabilities of students are:
-to apprehend the concept and the role of entrepreneurship and innovation for the persons, the firms, the markets and the social welfare
-to understand how the research of markets takes place in practice, in order to be recorded the preferences and the attitudes of consumers for the products
-to understand the role of New Technologies (Network, Digital Markets, Communications) for the entrepreneurial process
-to identify innovative management strategies
-to comprehend the value of business plans
-to learn how to compile a business plan and how to look for subsidies and pecuniary resources

• Production of innovative and entrepreneurial spirit through the experiential and heuristic cognitive process
• Decision-making and background for business plans, especially for the agri-food sector
